Amplified Health & Wellness is based in Cromwell, Central Otago.
We also travel to the wider Otago/Central Otago region including Dunedin and Southland.

We offer online distance coaching for clients outside this region.

Meet Nigel

Nigel is our Amplified Health & Wellness founder, and a qualified PREKURE Health Coach & Mental Health Coach.

As a husband and father, I too understand how hard it can be to make time for yourself. As you can see in this photo, I used to be very unwell.
I developed a blood clot, was a heavy smoker, and binge drank on a regular basis. I struggled to be able to even ride my bike for 2km without having to phone someone to come and get me.

I have now taken my life back. I have lost 47kg, completed seven Coast to Coast races, and enjoy being very active and physical, having lots of energy and keeping up with my children. Not only has this journey improved my physical and mental health, I have achieved what most parents aim to teach their children: perseverance in the face of adversity.

I want to share this experience and the tools I learnt, with my clients, and support them in their own lives through a holistic approach to movement.

Over the last 6 years I have built a foundation of lived experiences, and complemented that with qualifications in health coaching covering nutrition, behaviour, movement, sleep, and advanced mental health, including ACT therapy, trauma and more.

My goal is to create a community that positively supports others in reaching their goals. Together we get back to the basics, building one small goal at a time, eventually forming the foundation to helping us reach our larger ambitions in health and in life. 
For me, it’s not always about competing, it’s about completing, and feeling like you are a part of something much bigger than yourself. I know that building this community we can achieve together.

I am passionate about this holistic approach to mental wellness and health coaching and I thrive when supporting my clients with evaluation of their current situation, goal setting, weekly follow ups, nutrition advice, training advice, body scanning, and celebrating each success along the way.
